Map of the area with the rough route chosen drawn on

We are driving from London to Newcastle, then ferry across to Bergen in Norway, then up through Norway into the Arctic Circle and the land of 24hr sunshine.  Then down through Sweden and Finland before entering Russia.  Stops in Russia are planned for St Petersburg and Moscow, then going Eastwards through Siberia.  Following roads of various conditions until we get to the Western tip of Mongolia.. this is where the fun starts, as the roads are non existent, so it will be fun filled and hard work to get to Ulaanbaatar.

The route isn't set in stone, and detours are possible and indeed quite likely!!! but you'll get the idea by looking above.
