Richy

My name is Richard Dungate aka Richy, I was hatched in Salisbury Wiltshire but coming a service family we moved about a bit.

I joined the Army in my early twenty’s, I decided to go for the Infantry the Royal Anglian Regiment, 3rd Battalion "The Pompadours" after three years we amalgamated with 1st Battalion "The Vikings". After various tours and long drawn out exercises I found it was time to hang up my combat boots and head for Civie Street.

Years later I moved to Ipswich where I bumped into the rest of the gang, Richie and Andy. I was helping out on there Padi Rescue Diver course with Galaxsea Divers, So then began the fellowship of the rings, When they told me about an insane plan to drive to Outer Mongolia, Well it took me just 30 seconds to decide, yep count me in!!!

Mongolia, well I don’t think I’ve been there, and to aid such a good charity, this certainly will be a challenge for all of us especially being with each other for 4  weeks!!!!

We are hoping to get some good support with this event, i.e. from medical kits through to tow winch on the 4x4, after all the years serving in the British Army the

training and the professionalism will pay off in aid of this charity.
